Stop, Drop, and Roll! Fire Safety for Everyone
Fire can happen in an instant, so it's crucial to be prepared. Here are some fire prevention tips to keep your home and family safe:
- Smoke Alarms: Install smoke alarms on every floor and outside sleeping areas. Test them monthly and replace batteries yearly.
- Fire Escape Plan: Plan two escape routes from each room and practice them regularly.
- Kitchen Safety: Never leave cooking unattended. Keep flammable objects away from the stove.
- Electrical Safety: Don't overload outlets. Inspect cords for damage and replace faulty ones.
- Candle Care: Extinguish candles before leaving the room. Keep them away from flammable materials.
Remember: In case of fire, evacuate immediately and call 911!
